Public-company filings in Poland are supervised by Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). Reporting follows IFRS (consolidated); Polish GAAP (separate). Filings are most commonly published in Polish and English. Major issuers are listed on WIG20, WIG30 and mWIG40. Calendar year.
Polish disclosure — KNF, GPW, and one of the EU's most active filing regimes
Polish listed-issuer disclosure is supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF / Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego) under the EU Transparency Directive as transposed into Polish law. Regulated information is filed with the KNF and transmitted through the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW / Giełda Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie) ESPI/EBI announcement systems — ESPI for regulatory disclosures (annual, interim, inside information under MAR) and EBI for current-report disclosures (corporate events, resolutions, changes in shareholding). This two-channel architecture makes Poland's regulatory pipeline structurally distinct from Western European markets that use a single distribution rail.
The Polish disclosure calendar is anchored to the calendar year. Annual reports (raporty roczne) — consolidated and separate — land between March and late April for Main Market issuers. Quarterly reports are mandatory for Polish Main Market issuers, unlike the EU minimum of annual and semi-annual; this generates approximately four times the periodic-report throughput of a comparable Western European issuer and makes Poland's live-filing volume unusually high for a market of its size. Half-year reports follow EU Transparency Directive timing, and ad-hoc disclosures under MAR Article 17 arrive continuously. Annual reports must be filed in iXBRL under the EU ESEF mandate; the KNF implemented the mandate on the standard EU schedule.
Accounting follows IFRS for consolidated financials of all Main Market listed groups; Polish Accounting Standards (Krajowe Standardy Rachunkowości) apply to separate-entity and NewConnect financials. Primary disclosure language is Polish, with English translations available for WIG20 and most WIG30 issuers; smaller Main Market and NewConnect companies are frequently Polish-only. FinancialReports indexes both ESPI and EBI filings within roughly one minute of GPW publication, deduplicates across the two channels, and preserves language metadata on every record.
Poland's depth is a meaningful differentiator in this CEE batch: the combined Main Market and NewConnect universe of roughly 400 listed companies is comparable to Italy's Euronext Milan, and the quarterly-report obligation generates a structurally higher filing frequency per issuer than any other EU market covered here. The dataset exposes filings as JSON metadata, Markdown body, and original PDF or iXBRL — the ESPI/EBI channel split is preserved in the metadata so downstream consumers can filter by disclosure system.
