Czech disclosure — CNB, Prague Stock Exchange, and ESEF

Czech listed-issuer disclosure is regulated by the Czech National Bank (CNB), which assumed supervisory responsibility for capital markets from the former Securities Commission in 2006. Regulated information is filed with the CNB and distributed through the Prague Stock Exchange (PSE / Burza cenných papírů Praha) announcement system. Annual reports must be filed in iXBRL under the EU ESEF mandate alongside the PDF; the CNB enforces the ESEF timeline in line with the broader EU single market.

The PSE is a small venue by European standards — roughly 25 equity listings across its regulated market, with a separate bond and structured-product segment. The PX index tracks the most liquid equities and serves as the institutional benchmark. Fiscal years follow the calendar year for all significant issuers. Annual reports (výroční zprávy) land between March and April; half-year interim reports follow EU Transparency Directive timing. Ad-hoc disclosures under MAR Article 17, insider transactions, and significant shareholding notifications constitute most live disclosure volume. Primary languages are Czech and English; most PX constituents publish in both, though smaller issuers may be Czech-only. Accounting follows IFRS for consolidated financials of listed groups.

The PSE's scale means that systematic coverage is achievable without a large scraping infrastructure — but that also means the CNB's disclosure portals are updated infrequently and can be unreliable for programmatic access. FinancialReports indexes CNB-published filings within roughly one minute of publication and exposes them as JSON metadata, Markdown body, and original PDF or iXBRL.
