Israeli disclosure — ISA, MAGNA, and the TASE dual-language regime

Israeli listed-issuer disclosure is governed by the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) under the Securities Law 5728-1968 and its subsequent amendments. Live regulatory filings flow through MAGNA — the ISA's electronic immediate-reporting system (Machshivei Giluim) — which serves as the mandatory central repository for all regulated disclosures. Annual and periodic reports are filed in structured electronic format under ISA requirements, alongside PDF copies. IFRS became mandatory for listed Israeli companies in 2008; the consolidated financials of every TASE-listed issuer have been IFRS-based for over fifteen years, providing a long and standardised archive.

The Israeli disclosure calendar is anchored to the 31 December fiscal year-end for the large majority of listed companies. Annual reports (dohot shnatiyim) typically land in February–April; half-year reports arrive in August–September; and quarterly reports are required for companies above the reporting threshold. Beyond periodic filings, the live feed is dominated by diwhei midi — immediate reports covering any price-sensitive development: material contracts, management changes, legal proceedings, financial updates, and exchange-of-control events. FinancialReports ingests MAGNA-published filings across all categories within roughly one minute of publication, classified by filing type and deduplicated against issuer-side distribution.

A defining feature of the Israeli market is its bilingual disclosure architecture. TA-35 constituents — the 35 largest companies by market cap on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange — are required to publish filings in English alongside Hebrew, given the prominence of foreign institutional shareholders and the large dual-listed cohort on NASDAQ. For smaller TA-90 and TA-125 constituents, Hebrew is the primary language, with English summaries common but not mandated. Both language versions are preserved and indexed where present, with language metadata exposed on every filing record. Dual-listed companies — including names such as Check Point Software, CyberArk, Fiverr, and Mobileye — may file concurrently with the ISA and the SEC, and the platform exposes those relationships explicitly.

The practical result is a structured IFRS archive stretching back to 2008, paired with a continuous MAGNA live feed covering immediate reports, periodic filings, and insider-transaction disclosures. Every filing is available as JSON metadata, Markdown body (the processed text rendered on the public web pages), and the original PDF for audit trails. The high share of technology, defence, and biotech issuers in the dataset makes the Israeli corpus particularly relevant for sector-specific research that spans TASE and NASDAQ simultaneously.
