Croatian disclosure — HANFA, Zagreb Stock Exchange, and ESEF
Croatian listed-issuer disclosure is supervised by the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA / Hrvatska agencija za nadzor financijskih usluga) under the EU Transparency Directive as transposed into Croatian law. Regulated information is filed with HANFA and published through the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) announcement system. Annual reports must be filed in iXBRL under the EU ESEF mandate alongside the PDF; Croatia joined the EU in 2013 and adopted the ESEF timeline on the standard EU schedule.
The ZSE lists approximately 130 instruments across its regulated market. The CROBEX index (25 constituents) serves as the primary institutional benchmark; the CROBEX10 tracks the 10 most liquid equities for shorter-horizon strategies. Fiscal years follow the calendar year for most issuers. Annual reports (godišnja izvješća) land between March and April; half-year reports follow EU timing. Ad-hoc disclosures, insider transactions, and significant shareholding notifications constitute most live volume. Primary languages are Croatian and English; CROBEX constituents typically publish in both, while smaller issuers may file in Croatian only. Accounting follows IFRS for all listed consolidated groups. FinancialReports indexes HANFA-published filings within roughly one minute of publication and exposes them as JSON metadata, Markdown body, and original PDF or iXBRL.
