Brazil filings & disclosures.
Every annual, interim and ad-hoc report from 444 Brazilian listed companies — searchable, structured, free for the web. Same dataset, available via the API.
Public-company filings in Brazil are supervised by Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM). Reporting follows IFRS / BR GAAP (CPC standards aligned with IFRS). Filings are most commonly published in Portuguese and English. Major issuers are listed on Ibovespa, IBrX 100 and IBrX 50. Calendar year.
Brazilian disclosure — CVM, B3, and the Formulário de Referência regime
Brazilian listed-issuer disclosure is supervised by the CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários) under Lei 6.404/1976 and successive CVM instructions and resolutions. The primary filing vehicle for annual disclosure is the Formulário de Referência (FR) — a comprehensive structured form covering governance, risk factors, financial statements, related-party transactions, and executive compensation, broadly analogous to the US 10-K in information density. Annual financial statements are separately filed as the DFP (Demonstrações Financeiras Padronizadas), while quarterly results land as the ITR (Informações Trimestrais). All three are published through the CVM's Empresas.NET portal, which serves as Brazil's canonical regulatory filing repository.
Brazil adopted IFRS for consolidated financial statements of listed companies in 2010, aligning with global standards while retaining BR GAAP (CPC standards, which converge with IFRS) for separate-entity accounts. The disclosure calendar tracks the fiscal year-end: virtually all B3-listed issuers use a 31 December close, with DFP annual filings due by late April and ITR quarterly filings due 45 days after the quarter's end. Ad-hoc disclosure — called Fato Relevante (material fact) — flows continuously through the Empresas.NET portal for price-sensitive events: acquisitions, profit warnings, dividend changes, and executive departures. FinancialReports indexes DFPs, ITRs, Formulários de Referência, and Fatos Relevantes within roughly one minute of CVM publication.
Filing language is Portuguese. English translations are available for some of the larger multinationally oriented issuers — notably those with NYSE-listed ADR programmes (Petrobras, Vale, Itaú Unibanco, Bradesco, Embraer) — but the vast majority of B3 filings are Portuguese-only. The dataset preserves both versions where present and exposes language metadata on every filing record for downstream filtering.
The practical implication is a structured annual and quarterly archive — DFP, ITR, and FR going back to IFRS adoption — paired with a continuous Fato Relevante stream, all available as JSON metadata, Markdown body (the same text rendered on the public web pages), and the original PDF. Approximately 430 issuers are tracked, spanning the full B3 listed universe from Novo Mercado large-caps through Nível 2, Nível 1, and standard-segment listings.
