Latvian disclosure — FKTK, Nasdaq Riga, and ESEF
Latvian listed-issuer disclosure is supervised by the Financial and Capital Market Commission (FKTK / Finanšu un kapitāla tirgus komisija) under the EU Transparency Directive as transposed into Latvian law. The FKTK is scheduled to merge its functions into the Bank of Latvia in 2023–2024 as part of a broader supervisory consolidation, but regulated-information flows remain on the same technical rail: filings are published through Nasdaq Riga, part of the Nasdaq Baltic shared infrastructure with Tallinn and Vilnius.
Nasdaq Riga lists approximately 15 equities across the Baltic Main List and First North Baltic, making it the smallest of the three Baltic markets by listed-equity count. The OMX Riga (OMXR) index serves as the institutional benchmark. Fiscal years follow the calendar year universally. Annual reports land between March and April; half-year reports follow EU timing. Primary languages are Latvian and English; Main List issuers publish in both. Accounting follows IFRS for listed consolidated groups. Annual reports must be filed in iXBRL under the EU ESEF mandate. FinancialReports indexes FKTK-published filings within roughly one minute of publication and exposes them as JSON metadata, Markdown body, and original PDF or iXBRL.
