The listed universe is dominated by a handful of financially significant issuers: Krka (pharmaceuticals — one of the most internationally active Slovenian companies with significant generics sales across Europe and beyond), Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB, the largest Slovenian bank by assets and a significant regional player in the Western Balkans), Mercator (retail — now part of the Agrokor / Fortenova restructuring and no longer independently listed), Petrol (energy distribution), and Telekom Slovenije (telecoms). The sector mix reflects Slovenia's relatively diversified economy — pharma, banking, retail, energy, telecoms — despite the small listing count. Slovenia is one of the more advanced CEE economies by GDP per capita, which is reflected in the quality of IFRS disclosures from its major issuers.
