Jean Hilgers

Independent Director

Vice-Chair of Aedifica’s Board of Directors and Chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee since March 2026

Jean Hilgers obtained a Master in Economics at UCLouvain, where he became Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2007.

His career includes a long tenure at the National Bank of Belgium, where he held senior executive roles, and various mandates in financial supervision, risk oversight and public finance. Throughout his career, Mr Hilgers became a member of the Board of Directors or (Executive) Director in several financial institutions and investment companies throughout Europe, including the Bank for International Settlements, ING Belgium and AG Insurance. In these two latter banking and insurance companies, he is also Chair of the Risk Committee, and member of the Audit, and Remuneration and Nomination Committees. In 2025, he was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors at both Wallonie Entreprendre and Cofinimmo.

Jean Hilgers joined Aedifica’s Board of Directors in March 2026 as Independent Director and as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
