Description

INWIT is Italy's leading Tower Operator in terms of the number of sites it manages distributed throughout the country on which the transmission equipment of all the main national operators is hosted. INWIT contributes significantly to the coverage of wireless telephony services on the Italian territory and will continue to do so in the coming years, increasing its sites also in function of the development of new technologies, starting with 5G. In addition to hosting operators on its towers, INWIT is also building its own DAS (Distributed Antenna System) infrastructures to enable widespread coverage of densely frequented open spaces (historical centres of large cities or other places of aggregation) or large enclosed spaces intended for commercial activities, recreation and sport (stadiums, museums, universities) or healthcare infrastructures (hospitals).
