Ferrari is an Italian automobile manufacturer of sports cars and Formula 1 cars with administrative headquarters in Maranello in the Italian province of Modena and legal domicile in Amsterdam. The company was founded in 1947 by former racing driver Enzo Ferrari.
Scuderia Ferrari (Italian for "Ferrari racing team") is Ferrari's motorsport division and remains the most successful Formula One team to date.
Ferrari was a subsidiary of Fiat from 1966 to 2014, and then of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles with about 80 percent until 2016.
Ferrari went public on the New York Stock Exchange on October 21, 2015. Ferrari is managed by the Exor holding company of the Italian Agnelli family of entrepreneurs and is listed on the Borsa Italiana in the FTSE MIB benchmark index.
