Randstad to acquire Careo Group in Japan, expanding the Tokyo and IT/Engineering business

Today, Randstad Holding nv announces that it signed an agreement to acquire the entire share capital of Careo Group in Japan, doubling our presence in the Tokyo area, and in our IT/Engineering business. Careo Group was established in 1972, has approximately 150 FTE , mainly focusing on temporary staffing of engineers, clerical workers and telemarketers.

Randstad Japan Chairman and CEO Marcel Wiggers comments: "We are delighted to welcome the employees of Careo Group to Randstad. Careo Group has a strong track record in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, which is the country's most important market. Randstad Japan's President and COO Satoshi Saruya will be appointed President of Careo Group per July 1, 2016.
