Description
Witan Investment Trust PLC was a multi-managed investment trust that invested in global equities across a wide range of sectors and industries. The company's objective was to deliver long-term growth in capital and income for its investors through a diversified portfolio managed by a selection of third-party fund managers. In October 2024, following shareholder approval, the company was placed into voluntary liquidation as part of a merger and scheme of reconstruction with Alliance Trust plc. Consequently, Witan's assets were transferred to the newly formed Alliance Witan PLC, and Witan Investment Trust PLC ceased operations and commenced the process of being formally wound up by its appointed liquidators.
