Triam Automotive Inc. was historically recognized as a Tier One supplier specializing in the manufacture of plastic and metal components for the automotive sector, including powertrain systems. The company was co-founded by former Magna International executives and was noted for its manufacturing capabilities and advanced technologies, such as laser applications. Triam ceased independent operations in 1998 following a series of strategic acquisitions. Magna International acquired significant portions of the company to expand its own offerings in plastics and powertrain components. Concurrently, the Plastics Division of Triam Automotive Canada Inc. was acquired by Tiercon Holdings, a subsidiary of Noble International.
