RiTE Ugljevik is an integrated company engaged in coal mining and thermal power generation. Its core activities include the production of thermoelectric energy and the surface exploitation and sale of coal. The company owns and operates the 300 MW Ugljevik I thermal power plant, which has an average annual output of 1,560 GWh. The plant is fueled by coal from the adjacent Bogutovo Selo surface mine, with a production capacity of 1.75 million tons per year. To secure long-term fuel supply, the company is developing the new Ugljevik Istok surface mine. Significant investments have been made in new mining mechanization and plant modernization to enhance operational readiness. A key environmental project is the construction of a flue gas desulfurization facility to reduce emissions.
