Meota Resources Corp. was an oil and natural gas exploration and production company established in 1995. The company focused on developing energy assets, achieving a peak production rate of approximately 11,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) prior to its acquisition. In 2002, Meota Resources Corp. was acquired by Provident Energy Trust. Although the corporate entity is delisted, the Meota name persists in the energy sector, referencing significant heavy oil assets in the Lloydminster region. These assets are currently undergoing major expansion, including the Meota Central and Meota West SAGD projects, managed by Strathcona Resources Ltd.
