First UDL Modaraba, established in 1991, operated as a perpetual and multipurpose Modaraba. Its core activities included providing Islamic finance through Murabaha, Musharaka, and Ijarah arrangements, as well as engaging in commodity trading. The entity also diversified its operations into the manufacturing and trading of pharmaceutical products. As of April 23, 2024, First UDL Modaraba successfully merged with and into UDL International Limited, which functions as the surviving entity. UDL International Limited maintains a focus on Islamic Financial Services via its subsidiary, UDL Financial Services Limited, and is strategically planning expansion into the FMCG, skincare, and food sectors.
