MB Retail's reference shareholder is the EURASIA GROUPE, a company specialised in property management and a holding company for a group of companies specialised in property management. Created on 3 January 1984, MB RETAIL EUROPE (formerly Chaine et Trame) was, before 6 January 2012, a subsidiary of MB RETAIL BV, itself a wholly-owned subsidiary of HOFIMA BV, the holding company of a real estate fund based in The Hague specialising in the development of real estate projects in Europe (development and management of real estate assets). MB RETAIL EUROPE's purpose was to operate as a listed real estate company investing mainly in shopping centres and shopping centre projects in France and the European Union. On 30 December 2010, MB RETAIL EUROPE sold its stake in the capital of SQY OUEST France SAS, its only asset. Since that date, the Company no longer holds any assets. On 6 January 2012, EURASIA GROUPE acquired from MB RETAIL BV and HOFIMA BV 99.83%.
