CION Investment Corporation is an externally managed business development company (BDC) focused on private credit. It primarily provides senior secured loans to U.S. middle-market companies, typically those with annual EBITDA between $25 million and $75 million. The company's investment portfolio is concentrated in senior secured debt, including first lien, second lien, and unitranche loans, with the objective of generating current income and, to a lesser extent, capital appreciation.
