Description

Founded in 1928, the company was for a long time the flagship of a well-known press and logistics group in Switzerland and Europe. The group consisted mainly of newspapers, a radio and TV station, transport and logistics companies and a newspaper distribution chain in Germany. In the 1980s, it experienced major difficulties which led to its being placed under observation in 1992. In 1999/2000, a new shareholder took control through the acquisition of the registered shares held by the previous majority shareholder. A reorganisation and restructuring has resulted in a currently healthy structure, with the separation of loss-making activities. CI Com is ready for a new start and recapitalisation is now planned.
