About Anvil Range Mining Corporation

Anvil Range Mining Corporation (ARMC) was the final corporate entity responsible for operating the Anvil Range Mining Complex (ARMC), a large-scale historical extraction site encompassing the Faro, Vangorda, and Grum mine pits, and the Rose Creek Tailings Facility. ARMC acquired the complex in 1994, resuming open-pit operations from 1995 until 1997. The corporation ceased all activities and abandoned the site in 1998 after filing for protection under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and entering receivership. The former operational assets are now subject to an Integrated Comprehensive Abandonment Plan and subsequent government-led remediation efforts.
