The leading manufacturer of generic drugs in Romania, Antibiotice SA was founded in December 1955. The company was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in April 1977 and since then it has distinguished itself as one of the most important companies with integral Romanian capital.

The basic activity of the company is the production of anti-infectives, solid oral dosage forms, being also the only pharmaceutical company in Romania filling anti-infective sterile powders for the injectable therapies. Antibiotice SA from Iasi is the leader manufacturer of drugs for the Romanian hospitals, has the largest market share in Romania for topical products (ointments, creams, gels), developing at the same time an important segment of products for the cardiovascular system, central nervous system and oncology as well.
