It had the previous names along the years: URA-1953, IRAv (Aircraft Repair Enterprise) - 1970, IAv (Aircraft Enterprise) - 1978, and in 1991 it was registered as a stock company with entirely state-owned capital under its current designation S.C.AEROSTAR S.A.
