YIT CORPORATION DECEMBER 3, 2008 AT 12:00 COMPANY RELEASE CHANGES BOARD/MANAGEMENT/AUDITORS VEIKKO MYLLYPERKIÖ APPOINTED AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS OF YIT CORPORATION Veikko Myllyperkiö (62), M.Sc. (Pol.Sc.) has been appointed as acting Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications of YIT Corporation and as the member of the Extended Management Board as of December 3, 2008. Myllyperkiö has been in YIT's employ since 2001. He has previously worked as Vice President, Corporate Communications in 2001 - 2007. Myllyperkiö will report to YIT Corporation's President and CEO Juhani Pitkäkoski. Virva Salmivaara (31), M.Sc. (Econ.), M.Sc. (Pol. Sc.), will be responsible for the operative communications tasks on Group-level and continue as Deputy to Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications. In matters related to stock exchange communications she will report to YIT Corporation's President and CEO Juhani Pitkäkoski. Juha Kostiainen, the former Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Business Development will resign from YIT Corporation on December 31, 2008.
