PRESS RELEASE

SOMEC SECURES A TOTAL OF 38 MILLION EURO NAVAL GLAZING CONTRACT FOR FIVE NEW VESSELS

The contract, awarded by a leading French shipyard, comprises a workstream covering both traditional glazing and Somec's patented vertical sliding systems, to be installed aboard five units destined for two international cruise lines.

San Vendemiano (Treviso), May 7, 2026 — Somec S.p.A. (Euronext Milan: SOM), specialising in the engineering, manufacturing, and installation of complex turnkey projects for the civil and naval sectors, announces that its Horizons: Engineered Systems of Naval Architecture and Building Façades Division has secured a new contract with a total value of 38 million Euro.

The contract covers the supply and installation of marine glazing systems for five new build cruise vessels, commissioned by a leading French shipbuilding group for two major international cruise lines. The scope of work includes traditional glazing for all balcony cabins and suites, alongside Somec's proprietary Automatic Vertical Sliding Windows (AVSW). These systems are engineered to ensure peak comfort during transit and are increasingly appreciated by clients for their superior performance in terms of safety, weather-tightness, and acoustic insulation. Developed and patented entirely by Somec - a global benchmark for cruise ship glazing systems for over thirty years - this unique system seamlessly integrates technology and design. It transforms the window into a genuine "infinite balcony", extending the living area while affording an entirely unobstructed sea view.

Operations are scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and will run through to 2031, with the related financial impact distributed across the entire period.

Oscar Marchetto, Somec Chairman, pointed out that: "This contract bears out our Group's ability to execute and respond to a constantly evolving market with technically advanced solutions, within the framework of a long-term industrial relationship built on the quality of our operational performance. Notably, our AVSW systems are one of the areas where the Horizons Division showcases its engineering and technological excellence, integrating innovation and reliability within highly complex environments. Securing a five-ship workstream as part of a single negotiation reflects the trust our clients place in us and further extends our backlog visibility in the cruise segment. This sector continues to experience sustained global demand, underpinned by multi-year investment plans from shipowners and shipyard order books at record highs."
