iCollege Limited (ASX: ICT, “iCollege” or “The Company”) is please to advised that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Clubs Queensland, the peak industry body and union of employers for registered and licensed clubs in Queensland, and Care Training Australia (CTA Training) to develop an exclusive pilot project to place 100 long-term WorkCover clients in suitable and medically approved roles within Clubs in Queensland. CTA, a registered training organisation with over 15 years’ training industry experience specialising in hospitality and associated disciplines, has a long term partnership with Clubs Queensland as a preferred provider.
The agreement aligns with the Company’s overall strategy to build relationships with peak industry bodies to efficiently deliver positive outcomes for long term unemployed individuals.
Through this unique collaboration, 100 long term WorkCover clients will receive the opportunity to participate in a medically agreed, meaningful and appropriate return to work program involving a role in one of approximately 1,000 community clubs throughout the state. Each participant will be provided with the opportunity to complete a relevant qualification allowing them to move forward with a new career, more suited to their current physical capability following an accident or injury.
In addition, the pilot program will employ 10 Return to Work Coordinator and Health and Safety Trainees. The progress of the injured Work Cover clients will be overseen by these trainees, who will be supervised by two suitably qualified Registered Nurses, currently employed within the iCollege Group.
Upon successful completion of the pilot stage, Clubs Queensland, CTA Training and iCollege intend to progress the agreement to a further longer term partnership and a formal proposal to the Queensland Government for continued support and funding of the program.
