Director Retirement

NextEd Group Limited (ASX: NXD), one of Australia's leading providers of tertiary education services to international and domestic students, today announces the retirement of William Deane from its Board of Directors effective 30 April 2026.

The Board sincerely thanks Will for his 15 years of dedication and contribution to NextEd and its predecessor companies, including RedHill Education which he co-founded in 2006 and shepherded through its IPO in 2010. Over his tenure as Non-Executive Director, Will oversaw the growth from a single campus serving 100 students into one of Australia's leading private education providers, educating servicing more than 20,000 students 8 campuses and 12 recruitment offices around the world.

More recently, Will was instrumental in rebuilding NextEd's leadership team, securing the International House student cohort, and fortifying the company's position through a period of significant industry-wide disruption.

Sandra Hook, Chair of NextEd, said:

More recently, over the past 18 months, as the sector navigated significant headwinds, he has helped further position NextEd well for future growth. He leaves with our sincere thanks and we wish him well in everything that follows."

Following Will's retirement, the NextEd Board will consist of Sandra Hook (Chair), Simon Tolhurst, Angus Johnson and Jack Campbell, with Jack Campbell assuming the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. The Board will commence a search in due course for an additional independent non-executive director to complement the skills and experience of the existing Board and will provide a further update to the market.
