Digislide Attracts $1.2M in Government Funding under SAIIF Program

Digislide Holdings Limited (“Digislide”, “DGI” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce, in conjunction with Senator the Hon Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and the Hon Kevin Foley, South Australian Deputy Premier and Minister for Industry and Trade, Digislide’s selection for 1.2M under the South Australia Innovation and Investment Funding (SAIIF) Program.

Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship proposed and created the Strategic Plan and prepared the submission to the Board of Digislide, and co-applicants. Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship was the incubator for Digislide, and is currently incubating other early stage technology companies including Spinergy Pty Ltd and H2Oasis Energy Pty Ltd, who are two of the co-applicants in the submission.

Details of the Grant

The preparation of the Strategic Plan and the submission for federal funding was prepared by staff of the Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship. As the expansion of Digislide’s opto-electronics research and development facility was to be the major expenditure beneficiary of expenditure of grant funds, Digislide was proposed as the Applicant for the SAIIF Grant.

The proposal appoints the proponent, the Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship, as responsible for Operational Management of the SAIIF Project, to enable each of the companies involved in technology development, electronics assembly, logistics and the provision of vocational education services to focus on its core business.

Funds are to be used for capital items for the creation and expansion of an Opto-electronics and Clean Energy Technology Innovation Centre and Incubation and Training Precinct”, for:-

• H2Oasis Energy Pty Ltd is an early stage, clean technology company, incorporated for the purpose of commercialising a patent for a solar-powered desalination and water distillationcum-purification device.

• Outhred English and Associates Pty Ltd* is a Town Planning and Property Development Consultancy negotiating licence to low carbon footprint LED domestic, commercial and infrastructural lighting systems.

• Spinergy Pty Ltd* is an early-stage development company operating in the “clean tech” sector generating power by Working With the Earth® . It has 3 core technologies, Spinergy®, HydroSpinergy® and Vortavolt® which have domestic, commercial, industrial and infrastructural applications. Spinergy’s renewable “clean” energy generation technologies will provide in situ power to drive instrumentation and telemetry equipment
