Term of appointment Mr. Virender Jeet, has been promoted and designated by the Board of Directors as a
Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of the Company. His term of appointment shall be
as per the policy of the Company applicable to the senior management, as
approved/amended by the Nomination & Remuneration Committee from time to time.
Brief profile Virender Jeet, Sr. Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Products at Newgen, began
his professional journey with the organization in 1992. Since then, he has not looked
back. Being one of the founding members, he has been an integral part of the Newgen
growth story. He has been closely associated with the complete lifecycle of product
development, sales & marketing, and various other strategic functions at Newgen,
thereby significantly contributing to the business growth in the last 29+ years.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Savitribai Phule, Pune University.
Jeet started his career as a Software Engineer and was instrumental in designing and
developing the organization’s flagship products. Apart from building Newgen
products, he led teams to build multiple global products in areas, including imaging
and document management for global companies like Canon and Toshiba. He is a
technology enthusiast with 27 patents to his credit and has played a significant role in
providing the technology roadmap for Newgen’s current and future product
innovations.
His passion for building a world-class product company has made him don several
hats. He spearheads many important departments, including product development,
sales and marketing, product management, and internal operations—cloud services,
IT, administration services. Despite leading the strategic functions, he always managed
to work closely with the core teams. Jeet has always shown exemplary leadership skills
during important projects and crisis situations. He has been a mentor for teams across
the globe.
Jeet has been closely involved in two rounds of successful private equity investments
in Newgen and has led the company through a highly successful public listing. His
exceptional people and communication skills come in handy during his interactions
with the media. Jeet has aced the responsibility of being the official spokesperson for
Newgen’s internal and external communications. He is a role model for employees and
has nurtured many successful leaders in the company.
Jeet—the passionate golfer—remains dedicated to the goal of building Newgen as a
leading global platform and product company.
