New head of NCC Construction Finland

Harri Savolainen has been appointed new Business Area President of NCC Construction Finland, effective February 1, 2012. He will also be a member of Group Management and will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Wågström. The current President of NCC Construction Finland, Timo U. Korhonen, will be retiring.

The forthcoming Business Area President, Harri Savolainen, is aged 40 and is currently Regional Manager of NCC's residential construction operations in the capital of Finland, Helsinki.

"Harri Savolainen is the right person to take over from Timo U. Korhonen. He has experience and know-how from the line operation, and has the ambition, commitment and ability to lead our Finnish contracting operations to the next level," says Peter Wågström, President and Chief Executive Officer of NCC.

Harri Savolainen has a degree in civil engineering from Helsinki University of Technology and has held several executive positions at NCC since 2001.

The succession has been planned for some time, since Timo U. Korhonen will retire in 2012.

"Under Timo U. Korhonen's many years as Business Area President, NCC has advanced its positions in the Finnish market and currently has a strong presence in the markets for both housing and commercial properties," says Peter Wågström.

NCC's operations in Finland consist of the business areas NCC Construction, NCC Property Development, NCC Roads and NCC Housing. In 2010, NCC's operations in Finland generated sales of slightly more than SEK 7.5 billion, with approximately 2,500 employees.

NCC Construction Finland constructs housing, offices, civil engineering structures and other infrastructure in Finland.
