The Board of Directors of MAPFRE Middlesea plc, has today resolved to nominate and appoint Ms Ines Silva as Chief Officer for Human Resources MAPFRE Middlesea plc, with effect from the 10 October 2016, in lieu of Mr Chris Meli who has resigned from the company.

Ms Silva has a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management related to Culture, Leadership and Commitment in different cultural contexts. She has worked within the MAPFRE Group for 21 years and has until recently occupied the position as Head of HR at MAPFRE S.A., since 2011.

There is no other matter concerning Ms Silva that requires disclosure in terms of the Listing Rules.
