INTERMARINE (GRUPPO IMMSI): CONSEGNATA A UNA PRIMARIA MARINA DEL MAR MEDITERRANEO UNA UNITÀ NAVALE CACCIAMINE

Portata a termine la seconda unità, prodotta secondo i più elevati standard qualitativi mondiali

Sarzana, 29 luglio 2020 – Intermarine, controllata del Gruppo industriale Immsi S.p.A. (IMS.MI), ha consegnato una unità navale Cacciamine a una primaria Marina del Mar Mediterraneo.

Il Cacciamine consegnato è il secondo di una commessa più ampia, ed è rispondente ai più elevati standard qualitativi.

Intermarine è tra i leader mondiali nella progettazione, costruzione ed equipaggiamento di navi militari speciali con requisiti operativi molto stringenti come i Cacciamine. Sono unità particolarmente avanzate che richiedono elevate competenze in tutte le fasi della progettazione e della realizzazione e sono il risultato di una lunga fase di perfezionamento e adattamento del progetto basico di Intermarine alle esigenze specifiche di ogni committente.

Una nave Cacciamine di Intermarine è lunga 52,5 metri, larga 10 metri (per un dislocamento totale di circa 700 tonnellate) ed è spinta da due motori diesel che consentono di raggiungere velocità massime fra i 13 e i 16 nodi. La struttura - compreso lo scafo – viene realizzata con un tipo di fibra di vetro specificatamente sviluppato per questo tipo di progetto e per la realizzazione viene utilizzata una particolare tecnica costruttiva nota come Unstiffened Monocoque Single Skin. Le sovrastrutture sono invece realizzate in configurazione sandwich, ossia con due strati in fibra di vetro e fibra di carbonio che racchiudono un'anima in balsa, e vengono costruite con la tecnica dell'infusione sottovuoto.

A conferma della propria leadership internazionale in questo specifico settore delle navi per la difesa, Intermarine ha già realizzato 43 unità di cacciamine, in 9 diverse configurazioni, per le Marine Militari di 8 Paesi, fra i quali USA, Australia e Italia.

INTERMARINE (IMMSI GROUP): MINESWEEPER DELIVERED TO A LEADING NAVY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

Work completed on the second vessel, produced in compliance with the world's top quality standards

Sarzana, 29 July 2020 – Intermarine, a subsidiary of the Immsi S.p.A. industrial group (IMS.MI), has delivered a minesweeper to a leading navy active in the Mediterranean.

The vessel is the second unit of a larger order, and complies with the highest quality standards.

Intermarine is one of the world's leading designers, constructors and fitters of special military vessels with highly specific operating requirements like minesweepers. Military minesweepers are extremely advanced vessels requiring specialised competences at every design and construction stage, and are the result of a long process by which the basic Intermarine project is perfected and adapted to the specific needs of the individual customer.

An Intermarine minesweeper has a 52.5 metre length and 10 metre beam (for a total displacement of approximately 700 metric tons) and is powered by two diesel engines for a top speed of between 13 and 16 knots. The structure – including the hull – is built using the unstiffened monocoque single skin construction technique, with a fibreglass developed specifically for this type of project. The superstructures, realised in a sandwich configuration consisting of two fibreglass and carbon fibre layers encasing a balsa core, are constructed with the resin infusion process.

Confirming its international leadership in this particular sector of defence vessels, Intermarine has already built 43 minesweepers, in 9 different configurations, for the navies of 8 countries, including the USA, Australia and Italy.
