Freelancer acquires assets of Spanish freelance job marketplace Projectlinkr

Freelancer Limited ( Freelancer or the Company ) (ASX: FLN) today announced the acquisition of the assets of Projectlinkr.com, a well-known online marketplace focused mainly on the Spanish speaking market.

Founded by Lars Gehrmann, Projectlinkr is one of the leading online jobs marketplace in Spain and one of the leading freelancer portals in Latin America, with over 140,000 registered freelancers.

Projectlinkr is Freelancer’s second acquisition in 2015, after the acquisition of Israeli Freelance job aggregator DoNanza two weeks ago, and it is considered a valuable asset for the Freelancer community, reinforcing its continual efforts to expand the marketplace into each and every language worldwide.

Spanish is the third largest language spoken after English and Mandarin, and through this acquisition Freelancer will be adding nearly 140,000 new Spanish speaking users that will bring with them a wealth of experience, projects and valuable skills to reinforce the current marketplace. The exponential growth that Freelancer has achieved in the last two years both in Spain and Latin America will now be increased by the number of Spanish speaking users and also improved by the quality of skills and projects that Projerlinkr´s members will add to the platform.

The acquisition of Projectlinkr will be funded from the Company’s existing cash reserves and is not expected to have a material impact on revenue in FY15.
