Resignation of Non Executive Director

Freelancer Limited (ASX: FLN) (OTC: FRLCY) advises that Mr. Simon Clausen has informed the Company of his decision to resign as a Director of the Company, effective immediately.

Mr Clausen has been associated with the Company since inception and has played a significant role in the growth and development of the business. Mr Clausen remains a significant shareholder in the Company, with a beneficial interest of 35.6% of issued capital.

Matt Barrie, Chief Executive Officer & Chairman, said:

Beyond his role as our founding investor, Simon has been instrumental at every pivotal moment in our journey. It was Simon who suggested we rebrand the business to Freelancer, a decision that has defined the Company ever since and helped propel it to become the world's largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace by number of users and jobs posted. He has also been an unwavering supporter of the team and management through every stage of the Company's growth, including backing key strategic initiatives such as the acquisition of Loadshift, which has gone on to become a leading freight marketplace in Australia.

Today the Freelancer group operates the world's largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace by number of users, and Escrow.com, the world's leading provider of secure online payments with US$8 billion in transactions secured, and Loadshift, Australia's largest heavy haulage marketplace. None of this would have been possible without Simon's vision, generosity and steadfast support over the past 17 years.
