ASX RELEASE
INTERIM EARNINGS UPDATE
EVZ Limited (ASX: EVZ) anticipates its unaudited net profit after tax for the Half-Year ended 31[st] December 2009 to be in the range of $700,000 to $1,000,000. This compares to a net profit after tax for the same period to 31[st] December 2008 of $119,250. The prior period included impairment costs of $1,453,487.
During the six month period, despite a very difficult economic climate in the engineering services sector, sales have increased by approximately 9% compared to the corresponding prior period.
As previously advised, earnings have been impacted by reduced margins accompanied with delays in tender acceptance and subsequent project commencement.
The Half-Year result is based on internal management accounts and is subject to audit review.
At this stage EVZ expects to release its Half-Yearly Accounts by 26[th] February 2010.
