Appointment of Deputy Chairman
The Directors of Envirozel Limited (EVZ) are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Max Findlay as a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Envirozel Limited.
Mr Findlay has recently retired as Managing Director of Programmed Maintenance Services Limited, a position he held since 1990. During this time Mr Findlay designed and executed a growth strategy for Programmed Maintenance Services Limited which witnessed that Company grow from a $30m painting contracting operation to an $800m diversified multiservice provider. This growth was achieved through acquisitions, leveraging new service streams from existing customer base, geographic expansion domestically and internationally and organic growth within existing business.
In commenting on Mr Findlay’s appointment, Chairman Mr Gordon McKern stated:
“Mr Findlay’s acceptance of the position of Deputy Chairman is an important strategic appointment for EVZ as the Company moves into its next phase of growth. Mr Findlay has the proven track record, experience and qualities to advance EVZ’s strategic growth and development and deliver shareholder wealth.
Mr Gordon McKern further stated:
“It is my intention, whilst remaining on the Board, to step down from the position of Chairman immediately following the Company’s Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled for late November 2008. Mr Findlay’s appointment will therefore establish an appropriate succession plan for the position of Chairman of this Company”.
Mr McKern has been the Chairman of Envirozel since 2004 and has guided the Company through its initial reorganisation and acquisition phase. In this time the Company has progressed from a perennial loss maker to a Company which now produces consistently significant profits, has low net debt and in the current financial year has commenced dividend returns to its supportive shareholder base.
