Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman

The Directors of Envirozel Ltd (ASX: EVZ) wish to announce that Mr Gordon McKern has offered to bring forward the date of his previously announced resignation as Non-Executive Chairman. The Board of Directors have accepted this offer, and appointed Mr Max Findlay as his successor, effective from 1st July 2008.

Outgoing Chairman, Mr McKern stated:

“EVZ is now at the commencement of its next growth phase and whilst I had previously indicated I would be stepping down as Chairman at the Company’s next Annual General Meeting, I now feel it appropriate that Mr Findlay hold the position of Chairman from the start of the new financial year.

The Company has recently adopted a strategic plan which sets the company’s growth and direction for the next 3 years and Mr Findlay should be given every opportunity to work with senior management to deliver the performance expected from that plan from its beginning”.

Mr Findlay is an outstanding person for the position of Chairman of EVZ and will bring to the position significant business experience in a growth culture and environment obtained during his tenure as Managing Director of Programmed Maintenance Services Limited”.

Newly appointed Chairman, Mr Findlay declared:

“EVZ over the past three years has been a success story with the company moving from a perennial loss making operation to a company now producing significant profits and Mr McKern must be commended as the person responsible for driving this success.

It is therefore pleasing to advise that Mr McKern has indicated his ongoing commitment to the company by accepting the position of Non-Executive Deputy Chairman”.

Mr Findlay continued:

“Going forward it is imperative that the company continues to grow, achieves its performance expectations and is recognised by the investment community as a credible and well controlled operation.

I will be working with my fellow Directors and senior management to ensure this occurs”.
