Acquisition of Interest in Orchard Petroleum Inc

Modena Resources Limited (“Modena”) refers to the announcement on 29 July 2009 relating to the proposed acquisition of a 14.17% interest in privately held ESK Limited which owns production, development and exploration assets in California through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary Orchard Petroleum Inc.

Modena advises that agreement has been reached with Crosby Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited to a transaction exclusivity term to 31 December 2009 to allow for completion of all conditions precedent to the transaction.
