The United States Maritime Alliance, Ltd. (USMX) is a membership association representing employers across the East and Gulf Coast longshore industry, including container carriers, port associations, terminal companies, and stevedores. USMX's core mission is to protect member interests, primarily by serving as the management group's representative in Master Contract bargaining and labor relations negotiations with the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA). Furthermore, USMX jointly manages the USMX-ILA CFS Trust Fund and Joint Training Committee, which develops and administers specialized training programs (e.g., crane operation, container refrigeration, welding proficiency) and safety resources for the maritime workforce operating at US ports.
