Tetonka ceased independent operations later that year when it merged with Bonus Resource Services to form Enserco Energy Service Co., which became Canada's third-largest oil field service firm before its acquisition by Nabors Industries. Tetonka Drilling Inc. is recognized as a foundational entity in the consolidation of Canadian drilling contractors at the turn of the millennium.
