Canico Resource Corp. was a junior resource company specializing in the exploration and development of nickel and cobalt laterite properties. The company's core focus was the advancement of the Onça-Puma project, a significant nickel laterite deposit, through feasibility studies and toward construction. This project was intended to establish the company as a major producer in the base metals sector. Canico ceased independent operations in 2005 following its acquisition by CVRD (now Vale S.A.).
