Webjet appointments Ellen Comerford as NonExecutive Director.

Webjet Group Limited (ASX:WJL) ( Webjet or the Company ) announces that Ellen (Ellie) Comerford has agreed to join the Webjet Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 October 2024.
Ms Comerford has over 30 years of financial services experience in Australia and overseas, across a number of banking and insurance businesses. Ellie's responsibilities covered both executive and directorship roles and experiences gained include strategy planning and business development, commercial and operation management, product and relationship management, with ongoing focus on leadership development and people engagement.
Ms Comerford was chief executive and managing director of Genworth Mortgage Insurance Australia, an ASX top 200 listed company. Before joining Genworth, she worked at First American Financial Corporation, a leading global title and specialty insurance company, and for Citigroup Australia.
Ms Comerford is a non-executive director of Airtasker Limited and of a number of privately held companies in Australia and Europe. Ellie is a member of Chief Executive Women, an organisation focused on increasing women's representation in senior leadership across Australia, and a former non-executive director of ASX listed Heartland Group Holdings Limited.
It is presently intended that Ms Comerford will assume the role of Chair of the Board's Audit & Risk Committee in late October 2024.
