NOTICE

United Microelectronics Corporation ("UMC") USD 400,000,000 Currency Linked Zero Coupon Exchangeable Bonds due 2026 Exchangeable for Common Shares of Novatek Microelectronics Corp. ("Novatek") ISIN: XS2358241243

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Novatek announced a cash dividend of NT\$28.0 per share on June 19th, 2025 and the register will be closed from July 11st, 2025 to July 15th, 2025. Such declaration of dividends was approved at a general meeting of the Novatek's shareholders held on May 28th, 2025 before such dividends were legally made.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that (i) the Exchange Price prior to the adjustment is NT\$506.0, (ii) the adjusted Exchange Price, calculated pursuant to Section 11.2 of the Indenture, shall be NT\$479.8 per share, (iii) such adjustment shall be effective on July 16th, 2025, and (iv) the Closed Period (as defined in the Indenture) of the Bonds commenced on June 20th, 2025 and will end on July 15th, 2025.
