Unicredit — Remuneration Information 2017

Il Presidente del Consiglio di Amministrazione di UniCredit, Giuseppe Vita, ha oggi comunicato al Consiglio la propria volontà di ridurre del 40% –con decorrenza 1° gennaio 2017- la sua remunerazione complessiva annua.

Si tratta di una decisione assunta in coerenza e totale condivisione di motivazioni con la scelta annunciata – il 13 dicembre scorso nel corso del Capital Markets Daydall'amministratore delegato del gruppo, Jean Pierre Mustier di ridurre il proprio compenso fisso nella misura del 40%.

Sulla base delle stesse considerazioni, anche i Vice Presidenti Vincenzo Calandra Bonaura, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo e Fabrizio Palenzona hanno oggi richiesto al Consiglio che venga ridotta del 40% la loro speciale remunerazione ex art. 2389 3° comma codice civile, sempre con decorrenza dal 1° gennaio 2017.

UniCredit today announced that the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Giuseppe Vita, has asked the Board to reduce his remuneration by 40 per cent as of January 1, 2017.

This decision is consistent and in line with the announcement made at the group's Capital Markets Day December 13, 2016 that the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jean-Pierre Mustier had requested the board reduce his fixed compensation by 40 per cent.

In the same spirit, the three Vice Chairmen – Mr. Vincenzo Calandra Buonaura, Mr. Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and Mr. Fabrizio Palenzona – have also asked the Board to reduce their special remuneration pursuant to art. 2389 3rd par. of the Italian Civil Code by 40 per cent, effective January 1, 2017.
