Introduction & Professional Experience

A Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute, Cédric van Rijckevorsel also holds a Commercial Engineering degree from 'ISC Saint Louis' in Brussels and is an Alumni of the Singularity University Executive Program.

He started his career in Bank Brussels Lambert (ING Group) followed by Generale Bank (Fortis Group). In 1996, he joined Lombard Odier & Cie, Private Bank, first in Switzerland, then later in Hong Kong, holding analyst and portfolio manager positions. In 2001, he became Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank Syz in Switzerland.

In 2004, he founded IDS Capital SA in Geneva and acted as its CEO and Chief Investment Officer. After spending close to 10 years building and growing IDS Capital into a multi asset management company in Switzerland, Cédric set up IDS Capital (UK) Ltd (regulated entity in London), of which he is the CEO.

He also assumes the role of Chairman of IDS Capital SA, the group holding company and is the group CIO.

Since 2015, Cedric has been involved in actively supporting and investing in the development of new technology-focused companies having an impact on people's lives, businesses and society overall, across all geographies (Europe, China, United States and Austral-Asia) and sectors.

Over the years, he has built a global network of private equity investors and key opinion leaders in Digitalization, Health tech, Smart City Technologies, Blockchain and Climate-related technologies.
