Appointment of Michael Kiernan as Non- Executive Director

The Board of Precious Metals Australia Limited "Company" is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Michael Kiernan as a Non Executive Director of the Company.

Michael brings to the board more than 30 years of experience in the transport, mining, contracting and resources industries including the development and operation of mining projects in manganese, iron ore nickel and gold.

The Company has previously announced entering into a strategic marketing and logistics agreement with Noble Resources Limited ("Noble"). Mr Kiernan was previously Managing Director of Consolidated Minerals Limited and had a long association with Noble Resources Limited and will represent Noble on the Board of the Company.

Mr Kiernan is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Monarch Gold Mining Company Limited and Mineral Resources Limited.

On behalf of my fellow directors I welcome Michael to the Precious Metals Australia Board and look forward to having the benefit of his experience in the coming months as the Company accelerates toward the re-development of the Windimurra vanadium mine.

Also attached is an Initial Directors' Interest Notice Appendix 3X. These shares were acquired from fellow Non-Executive Director, the Earl of Warwick, who lodged a change of interest notice for the same number of shares on 4 August 2006.
