TESMEC GROUP PLACED FIRST DURING THE PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE PROVISIONAL AWARD OF THE TENDER OF RFI FOR THE SUPPLY OF 88 MULTIPURPOSE RAILWAY VEHICLES.

The subsidiary Tesmec Service S.r.l. provisional awarded the three lots in the tender for a total value of Euro 91.8 million

Grassobbio (Bergamo - Italy), 16 September 2016 – Tesmec S.p.A. (MTA, STAR: TES), at the head of a group leader in the market of infrastructures related to the transport and distribution of energy, data and materials, announces that its subsidiary Tesmec Service S.r.l. placed first in the public tender launched by RFI - Rete Ferroviaria Italiana S.p.A., the Italian Railways Group responsible for the overall management of the national railway network, for the supply of 88 multipurpose railway vehicles for the maintenance of the Italian railway network.

It has been announced by the Commission during a public meeting held at the Purchasing Department of RFI in Rome.

The total value of the tender amounts to around Euro 91.8 million, and in case of final award, the supply, to be completed within 4 years and inclusive of a full maintenance service for a period of six years, is divided as follow:

• Lot n. 1: 26 multipurpose railway vehicles with 2 axles;
• Lot n. 2: 42 multipurpose railway vehicles with bogies;
• Lot n. 3: 20 multipurpose railway vehicles with bogies.

This first result has been achieved thanks to the high technological level of railway solutions of Tesmec Group which has been the key to the positive assessment.

Following the definition of the ranking, RFI must therefore carry out the standard verification procedure on Tesmec Service S.r.l., which provisionally awarded the tender, with reference to the possession of the legal requirements, the congruity of the offered price and an analysis for a possible allotment of the lot n.3 to the company in the second position.

Only upon completion of the positive check of the aforementioned requirements, the award will be valid and the contract for related supply could be signed.
