TERNA: CLOSING SIGNED WITH CONSTRUTORA QUEBEC TO ACQUIRE ONE OF THE TWO NEW LICENCES IN BRAZIL

Rome, 11 November 2019 – Terna confirms that through its subsidiary Terna Plus, it today finalised the closing of the transaction announced to the market on 12 April with Construtora Quebec, an energy sector construction company operating in Brazil. The operation refers to the acquisition of two new electrical infrastructure licences in the South American country.

The closing finalised the acquisition of the controlling share in the first of the two companies involved in the transaction, which holds one of the two licences to construct the 500 kV electrical infrastructure, extending over approximately 190 km.

The agreement calls for the Terna Group to develop, build and manage the assets, while entrusting Construtora Quebec with the EPC activities. The value of the transaction, including the development and construction costs, is around 60 million US dollars and will largely be financed through a project financing transaction.
