TERNA LAUNCHED THE FIRST EURO COMMERCIAL PAPER PROGRAMME

Rome, 16 July 2021 – Today, Terna launched its first euro commercial paper programme for issuances of notes and ESG notes ("ECP Programme"). The new ECP Programme has a duration of 3 years and a maximum amount equal to Euro 1,000,000,000.

The ECP Programme has been rated "P-2" by Moody's and "A-2" by S&P and has been submitted to the STEP Secretariat in order to obtain the STEP label, so that the commercial papers issued thereunder will be eligible under the STEP Market Convention.

Commercial papers will be designated as "ESG Notes", for so long as Terna would achieve and maintain an award in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook in the Electric Utilities Sector equal to, or higher than, Bronze Class.
