Telenor appoints three new members of the Group Executive Management

Telenor appoints three new members of the Group Executive Management

Telenor Group implements organisational changes and

appoints Henrik Clausen, Katja Christina Nordgaard and

Pål Wien Espen as new executive vice presidents and

members of the its executive management.

Henrik Clausen (50) has been appointed Executive Vice

President and Head of Group Strategy and Digital. This

new unit will be responsible for Telenor Group's

overall strategy, drive the Group's digital agenda and

support the Group's operations within digital

services. Mr Clausen comes from the position as CEO of

the Malaysian mobile operator DiGi, in which Telenor

holds a 49% ownership stake. Henrik Clausen starts in

his new position on 15 June 2014.

Katja Christina Nordgaard (52) has been appointed

Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate

Affairs. The new unit will combine corporate

communications, sustainability and government

relations. Ms Nordgaard currently holds the position

as Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand and Cambodia. In

the years 2010 to 2013, she also served as the

Norwegian Ambassador to Myanmar. She joined the

Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988, and has

during her career held various senior positions within

the Foreign Service as well as in the private sector.

Nordgaard has a Master in Business Administration from

the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Katja

Christina Nordgaard will start in her new role on 4

August 2014.

Pål Wien Espen (49) has been appointed Executive Vice

President and Head of Legal Affairs. Mr Espen joined

Telenor in 1995 and has already been participating in

Group Executive Management meetings as the Group's

General Counsel and Head of Group Legal.

As a result of the organizational changes, Rolv-Erik

Spilling, who has held the position as Executive Vice

President and Head of Telenor Digital, will step down

from the Group's executive management on 15 June 2014.
