Incoming Suncorp Group CEO Commencement Date

Suncorp Group Chairman Ziggy Switkowski today announced that incoming Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Michael Cameron will commence in the role on Thursday 1 October 2015.

Mr Cameron is currently CEO and Managing Director of GPT and has been a non-executive Director of Suncorp Group since April 2012. His appointment was announced in April after current Group CEO Patrick Snowball confirmed his intention to return to the UK after his six years at the helm.

Dr Switkowski said the timing of Mr Cameron’s commencement was ideal, as it directly follows Mr Snowball’s final AGM.

“Mr Cameron’s depth of experience will drive the Group and its many brands to the next level for the benefit of shareholders and customers, while maintaining the discipline and focus that underpins the company’s strategy,” Dr Switkowski said.
